How long will the process take from start to finish?
This can vary considerably. An ‘On-site Consultation Design’ for a small garden will be completed, on-site, in just three hours, leaving you with a scaled, sketch design. If you have a larger site and wish us to take you through the entire full design process from design, through construction and with planting too, it can take anything from a couple of months to a year from the initial meeting. We can also stage the construction process over several years if you wish.
How do I choose the right company to transform my garden?
Firstly, look for genuine qualifications from reputable colleges. You will need a team that is specialised in Design, Construction and Planting. Alongside this and equally important is experience – ask to see photographs – before and after construction – and client testimonials.
Will my designer listen to my needs and wishes?
Many customers express this concern when we first meet. I can assure you that your brief is the basis for our design. We will, of course, advise you if we feel there is good reason – design /technical – to divert from the brief. But it is our overriding aim to create a garden that you are delighted with and that works for you.
How much will it cost?
Our On-Site Consultation Design is £265, and for a Full Garden Design prices start at £550 (design only). If you would like us to design, construct and plant your garden, we will give you an itemised quotation. JJ Garden Designs has undertaken projects ranging from £1,500 to £80,000. Many of our customers have phased the construction and planting over a period of time, sometimes several years!
We only need ideas for a small area of our garden. Can you help us?
We are happy to assist with smaller projects. Our on-site Consultation Garden Design would be ideal for this and costs just £265. You will be amazed at what we can come up with in 3 hours!
